The Mosaique au 24 Collection is a tribute to the birthplace of Hermes: 24 Fauborg Saint Honore, in Paris. A journey to the heart of the store's architecture, where each motif reflects the lively patterns of colors and light on the famous store's floor. A long, lavish voyage through time and legend. In homage to the mosaic which covers the floor of 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the historic Hermès store, the geometric friezes in matte grey tones, enhanced with gold, play with the light. The striking pattern of interlocking platinum and grey geometric Greek friezes that rims each piece of Mosaique au 24 Limoges Porcelain dinnerware pays tribute to the historic Hermès shop by emulating its similarly patterned sandstone mosaic floor, which was designed by Henry Pannier for the store in 1926. In the center of the Mosaique Au 24 Platinum Dinnerware, a monogrammed “H†or Hermès ex-libris complete the design inspired by the Parisian store at 24, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This setting brings to your table shades of Greek classicism, modern sophistication, and contemporary designâ€â€all elements of the particular elegance that Hermes has come to represent. Limoges Porcelain Dishwasher Safe Made in France Dimensions: 5.3" Height x 27.9 fl. oz. Capacity A vase of the 'Folto' series in blue glass with lilac applications and clear overlay. Designed by Toots Zynsky ca. 1984 and manufactured by Venini, Venice in 1985. It features the Venini sticker on the body as well as the incised signature 'Zynsky Venini 1985' is on the base. Toots Zynsky (*1951) studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. In 1971, she supported Dale Chihuly and others in founding the Pilchuck Glass School. From 1980 to 1983, she was involved in the development of the second New York Experimental Glass Workshop, now UrbanGlass. In 1984, Zynsky was invited to the Venini glassworks on Murano. There she rethought her early, thread-wrapped, blown vessels. The result was the unusual Folto vases that she designed for Venini. While living in Europe in the late 80s and 90s, Zynsky worked with Mathijs Teunissen Van Manen on the development of a glass-threading machine. It was during these years that she developed her unique "filet-de-verre" technique. Zynsky's works are represented in more than 70 museum collections around the world. In 1999, Zynsky and her family moved from Europe to the United States and settled in Providence, Rhode Island, where Zynsky lives and works today. height: 4.72 inches diameter: 9.45 inches
