This is a matched set of four hand-painted Meissen porcelain plates featuring individually rendered floral bouquets-each centered on a clean white ground, bordered by a fine cobalt blue line and a gilt-edged rim. The slightly scalloped edges and light profile are characteristic of mid-20th-century Meissen table and cabinet wares, maintaining the precision of earlier 19th-century patterns.
Each floral composition is executed in polychrome enamel, reflecting Meissen's deutsche Blumen (German flowers) tradition revived in the postwar years. The color palette-orange, yellow, violet, and green-demonstrates excellent kiln control and painterly finesse. Underglaze crossed-swords marks confirm authenticity; impressed numerals ("70", "1", etc.) denote mold and painter's references.

Comparable examples of Meissen floral cabinet and dinner plates with gilt cobalt borders appear regularly in both German and international auctions. Meissen's mid-century floral porcelains retain strong collector appeal as decorative and utilitarian objects due to their high craftsmanship and continuity of factory standards.

The set is priced as its appraised value, reflecting the fact that these four Meissen plates embody the refinement and decorative charm that sustained the manufactory's global prestige through the 20th century. The combination of cobalt-rimmed profiles, delicate gilt detailing, and hand-painted floral subjects evokes the enduring elegance of Meissen's porcelain tradition, making the group both historically representative and visually engaging for display or collection.
