This lot features an exceptional 1928 antique sepia-toned team photograph celebrating a company-sponsored baseball team sponsored by the Mohawk Rubber Co. Tires. Titled across the lower image border with the white hand-lettered text, "In to win — 1928 / The home team & Mohawk Tires", the photograph beautifully preserves an authentic snapshot of post-World War I amateur industrial league baseball history. The image displays eleven players in period-correct laced wool uniforms and baseball caps alongside their suit-clad coaches and managers, while a vintage motor coach and a young child add a charming, community-centered depth to the outdoor background scene. Housed securely in an archival plastic display sheet, this original piece of sports advertising Americana remains in good vintage condition with classic signs of corner silvering and surface patina that enhance its rustic historical value.
