A large pair of antique 19th-Century French carved and giltwood and gesso altar candle stands. They are Neoclassical forms with large round tops and they are carved with columns, rosettes and leaves. We estimate the age to be mid to late 19th-Century. These lovely old candle stands are heavy and solid. They are a rare find and retain their lovely gilt patina.
