Description
A Brass Marritime Gimbal Ship's Candleholder sconce. Heavily constructed for use as a table lamp or can be wall mounted. The candlestick swings with shield shaped weight to the bottom so that the candle doesn't fall over with the rocking motion of the ship. This pattern was used on Royal Navy ships in WWI. A similar design was also used on White Star Line ships. Stamped with the Registration No. 6548
