This charming pair of vintage Italian terracotta garden planters is designed in the form of woven baskets, complete with thickly rolled rims and sculpted feet. Their surface is richly textured and boasts a beautifully aged patina, the result of decades spent outdoors. Each bears chips and wear to the rims and bases-characterful reminders of a long life well-lived-but both remain structurally sound and ready for continued use. These planters are ideal for climates that don't experience hard freezes and, like all ceramic vessels, should be sheltered indoors during winter months. Generously scaled and full of personality, they'd make handsome homes for clipped boxwood topiaries, a pair of fig trees, or trailing ferns on a patio or porch. Their basket weave design brings an earthy, textural element to any outdoor space-rustic, romantic, and distinctly Italian. A timeless choice for gardeners with an eye for patina and a love of form.
