Lovely small antique gilt bronze round picture frame with ormolu finish and neoclassical elements, including a ribbon bow and floral trim. Original insert beneath slightly domed glass has been replaced with a very good paper copy of a woman of the age, likely a copy of the previous insert--looks like the real thing. The frame has a hinged easel back as well as a small ring for hanging. A wonderful addition to any tablescape or room! Nice patina, displays beautifully. From the late 1800s to early 1900s, likely of French origin.

Measures 2" w x 1/4" d x 2 1/2" h flat, 2 1/8" h open.
