Description
Group of three Chinese export ware bleu-de-hue porcelain bowls, ca. 18th-19th century. Finely decorated with phoenix, dragon, and Buddhist scroll motifs. Two vessels fitted with silver rims. Each vessel bearing a two-character cobalt blue glazed "Neifu" mark along the underside.
Bleu-de-Hue wares were commissioned by kings of the Le-Trinh dynasty in Vietnam for use in royal court settings. Translating from Chinese as "Inner Court," the "Neifu" mark signifies that the piece was made for, ordered by, or associated with an imperial household or official royal court.
(Each, approximately) Height: 2 in x diameter: 3 3/4 in.

There are no cracks or losses. To one of the bowls, there is a repaired chip along the rim; the chip appears to have been reaffixed to the vessel with glue adhesive. One bowl with fleabite chips along the footrim.
