Caucasian Soumak flatweave wool rug, 20th century. The carpet with central field depicting three diamond medallions surrounded by allover decoration of small creatures, animals, and tribal motifs. The main border featuring a vining floral pattern, flanked by guard borders of repeating triangular motifs. Executed in vibrant blue, yellow, green, and red on a light beige or cream ground.
