Persian Sarouk or Saruk hand-knotted wool runner rug, 20th century. The carpet with central field depicting floral palmette forms and foliate motifs. With main-stripe border featuring vining botanical forms. The inner- and outer-guard boarders depicting layered triangular forms. Executed in rich jewel tones of red or deep pink, blue, red, and cream. With cream-colored fringe along the upper and lower edges.

Condition
There are no tears. The rug is unevenly toned, particularly, the center of the rug appears lighter in color. No signs of insect activity. No major stains or odors. Light wear along the fringe.
