Description
Large Chinese jadeite figure of Guanyin, Qing dynasty, 20th century. Modeled holding a peony spray in her right hand, the figure's hair is bound high in a tight knot atop her head. Her robes flow loosely, curving across her front. The stone of a pale, celadon tone, with a dark emerald band across the floral spray and apple flecking along the robes.

Condition
There are no large losses. There are minute chips along the extreme edges of the petals, noticeable upon touch. There is a small chip along the figure's right, big toe. There are natural fissures throughout; it is difficult to discern if any of these fissures are cracks or are natural to the material. Light wear to the carved wooden stand.
