Early Famille Rose Armorial Charger - Barrington

Description

Early Chinese export famille rose porcelain charger, Yongzheng ca. 1726. The center decorated with the coat of arms of Barrington above the motto "Tout Une Durant Ma Vie" surrounded by a cell-pattern border along the well. Four flower sprays along the rim.

This plate reflects the fervor around the newly discovered famille rose pink enamel in the late 1720s.
Diameter: 15 3/4 in.

Condition

There is a small chip along the rim that has been filled; overspray present in the area around the chip. Small chips to the footrim. Light scuffs to the face of the plate, though none very severe.
