Vintage hand-painted plant specimen watercolor "Gold Medal" yellow rose (with frame). Signed in the lower right corner
"Gold Medal" yellow rose, herbaceous plant, yellow flowers with red blush, easy to bloom, slender branches, thorny. The branches are straight, the buds are full, and the leaves are refreshing. The posture is elegant and the color is bright.
This art serves botany, using pen drawings or watercolors to record plants as accurately as possible. These artistic traditions can be traced back to the 16th century, and the 18th century was undoubtedly the century when botanical art flourished, which nourished people's enthusiasm for botany and floral decorative art. The tradition of showing a single species on a blank background has not changed to this day. This is a wonderful hand-painted watercolor "Gold Medal" yellow rose specimen, which is very precious.
