This evocative portrait of Kathleen Atwater Weston and her newborn baby boy, Franklin, dates back to a scene from 1934 in the parlor of a Dexter, Maine farmhouse. The Depression era simplicity of Kathleen's dress and the delightfully expressive baby make the portrait memorable; all the magic between a young mother and her child is captured here, as it has been through six years.
