What a demure-sized treasure! This gorgeous, mahogany-flame, writing desk combines a writing surface with storage-it is a desk when opened and the contents are concealed when closed. It was most likely made in Europe, and has all of its original hardware-including the key!!! The key locks and unlocks both the writing desk and its drawer-a truly spectacular piece of history!
The marquetry is spectacular, with abalone, copper, and bronze-not to mention the four, sultry, cabriole legs!
