Vintage Romania Redware Covered Dish

Description

Here's an especially nice terrace cotta or redware covered dish that was most likely made in Bucharest, Romania though there is no identification. It was found with several other pieces that had the paper label "Co-op Artica Aplicata" still attached. The label was removed and a bit of glue and paper can still be found on the inside of the lid. Probably from the 1980s, this piece is utilitarian as well as a beautiful display piece. Little Fox knows this is an Eastern European piece, but the folksy, rustic quality looks very South of the Border and is a great go with for any Southwestern kitchen or dining area. Besides, what's not to love about the Greek Key design?
