Description
Exceptional late 18th century pink and green with gold edging and initial "W" tea service with helmet shaped creamer, covered sugar bowl with berry finial, two service plates, 8 handleless cups with saucers plus 2 additional damaged cups with the old metal staple repairs. The lid is included that most likely came off the teapot but no teapot. Honestly not really a problem as most people would use for coffee and would brew in kourig or could use a silver teapot. The dimension listed is for the larger service plate, the saucers are 5" diameter.
Condition:
Alterations: Original Condition Unaltered
Imperfections: Some Imperfections
Condition Notes: Some expected loss to the decoration especially on the edges and the "W" on the saucers, cream and sugar and the service plates. The "W" is in quite good shape on the outside of the cups as I presume the outside was not washed as much. There are 6 perfect cups and 8 perfect saucers. The 9th saucer has 2 hairlines. The 7th and 8th cups could be used I believe but one has a hairline and the other has an incredibly tight old staple repair. I am afraid Chairish only allows 12 pictures so I have tried to include all of this. Please email if you would like additional pictures.
