Pair of Antique Italian Wall Sconces, each featuring two arms supporting fluted cups for holding candles. Their basic infrastructure is wrought iron, on which there are beautifully crafted branches, leaves and berries in painted Toleware. They are well proportion and have a naturalistic feel. They stand out as examples of craftsmanship and would be signature wall/lighting features.

Dimensions. 16" High; 14" Wide; 5' deep.
Note: The sconces are an identical pair, with the exception that the width of one is 12" rather than 14" due to the fact that the arms supporting its candleholders are not as outwardly curved as they are in the other piece.

Condition:
Alterations: Original Condition Unaltered
Imperfections: Some Imperfections
Condition Notes: The condition of this pair is Good to Excellent, considering age, use and travel. The metal work seems entirely intact, including the curvilinear shape of the branches, the details, the hanging berries (or grapes) and the Toleware candleholders. There are spots where the sheen of the painted leaves or the candleholders seems a little rubbed, but no real imperfections that we can detect.
