A 150-year-old Napoleon III smoking chair that survived revolutions, cigars, and time itself.
A masterpiece of French Victorian design. Hand-carved acanthus back splat, barley-twist legs, and original porcelain casters (see close-up). Walnut frame with 140-year patina, reupholstered in vibrant geometric needlepoint.

A classic antique French fauteuil a fumer (smoking chair), likely from the mid-to-late 19th century during the Victorian or Napoleon III era (circa 1860-1880). These chairs were designed for gentlemen's lounges, libraries, or smoking rooms, offering a low-slung, enveloping seat for reclining with a pipe or cigar while reading or conversing.
