Beautiful Large Hammered Copper Gourd, Sant Clara del Cobre, MX Copper.

Period: 1940 - 1949

Measurements:
10.25"H x 13"W x 13"D

When the Spanish arrived at Lake Patzcuaro, they found a community where the native people were involved in creating beautiful and useful objects out of hammered copper. This community is now known as Santa Clara del Cobre and is recognized throughout Mexico and the world for its remarkable copper artisans.
