A striking statement piece, this large gilt gesso mirror features an intricately carved frame adorned with scrolling acanthus leaves, a classic motif often seen in French and Italian decorative arts. Likely dating from the mid-20th century (1940s-1960s), the mirror is influenced by the Rococo Revival style, known for its ornate curves and botanical flourishes.

The rich gilt finish has a warm patina that enhances the piece's timeworn beauty, adding depth and character.
