Description
This antique, oak quarter-sawn, carved rocker is from the Arts and Crafts Movement (late 1800's-early 1900's), when traditional craftsmanship, artistic, hand-carved details and unique pieces were prized over mass production. Notice the carved foliate and the geometric relief patterns on its backrest-and the large, bulbous designed legs-definitely in the style of George Arndt!
The rocker is extremely sturdy and well-built- I wish I'd look this good after 135 years of age! ;)
It has a smooth rocking motion, too.
