This antique American Sheraton one drawer stand, dating to the mid-19th century, is crafted of beautiful birdseye maple with warm patina and fine grain. The form is characteristic of Sheraton styling, with its balanced proportions, turned legs, and understated refinement. These stands were versatile pieces in 19th century households, serving equally well as bedside tables, writing stands, or occasional tables.

The drawer front highlights the lively figure of birdseye maple, accented by a round wooden pull that enhances the simplicity of the design. The turned legs taper gracefully, terminating in fine feet, a hallmark of the Sheraton aesthetic. The craftsmanship reflects early American woodworking traditions, combining elegance with sturdy functionality.

In nice antique condition, consistent with age and use, this stand retains its charm with light surface wear that speaks to its history. A fine example of mid-19th century American furniture, it remains both a practical and decorative addition to today's interiors.
