Nothing Gold Can Stay

BY ROBERT FROST
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Homer Noble Farm, in Ripton Vermont, is a property where American Poet Robert Frost lived and wrote in the summer and fall months from 1939 until 1963. It's a beautiful house with a trail that leads to his writing studio cabin. It still has some old apple trees. Inspiring.

This painting is 6 x 6 inches, acrylic on primed ampersand panel, comes framed with light tone wood lattice, wired, signed and ready to hang up as soon you open the box. Created using archival materials. Colors may vary depending on your monitor.
