A very unusual piece.

About 8' x 8'

Original, painted on cotton canvas.

Possibly a carnival hand-painted backdrop.

I believe it is more likely to be a stage prop/backdrop.
A google search provides info on the stage play produced for many years.

'George Washington's Nurse'

Nice overall patina with no distractions.
