Wonderfully sculptural shell-form tureen in glossy white ceramic, complete with its coordinating underplate and ladle. Deep ridges and a pointed tip give the covered tureen the shape of an oversized triton-style conch shell. Beneath it, a platter bordered with radiating scallop shells creates a striking presentation, while the curved ladle completes the seaside theme.

This is serving ware with the presence of a centerpiece: fill it with seafood bisque or chowder for a dinner party, or display the complete set on a sideboard between gatherings. The monochromatic glaze emphasizes every contour of the shells and works beautifully with both traditional table settings and collected coastal interiors.

The naturalistic form recalls Italian shell-form ceramics associated with Mottahedeh and the playful figural serving pieces of Fitz & Floyd.
