A striking vintage indoor-outdoor rain drum accent table. These tables are modeled directly after bronze percussion instruments used in traditional Southeast Asian cultures for thousands of years. They are called rain drums because the unique hollow metal construction makes a beautiful, resonant melodic sound when hit by falling raindrops. This table was originally sourced in the 2010s from Neiman Marcus. Modeled after traditional Southeast Asian tribal rain drums, this sculptural statement piece features a flared circular top accented with dimensional, raised figural frog motifs along the rim, stylized side handles, and beautifully incised concentric geometric bands wrapping around its tapered base.
Crafted from heavy-duty cast metal with a matte black finish, this versatile piece is highly durable and structurally solid. It functions beautifully indoors as a unique drink table next to a sofa, or outdoors as a weather-resistant garden stool or patio accent table. Its rich texture, historic silhouette, and global appeal make it a favorite.
