Antique 20th Century pair of German solid silver mounted and etched glass decanters, beautifully crafted in the Rococo revival style. Each decanter features an elegant flattened bulbous glass body, exquisitely etched with intricate scrolling foliage, flowers and delicate ornamental detailing. The finely worked glass is framed by elaborate solid silver mounts, richly decorated with embossed floral motifs, scrolling cartouches, pierced latticework and finely textured backgrounds. The tapering necks are adorned with further elaborate chased silver decoration, extending upwards to cylindrical collars with decorative scrollwork and floral embellishments. Each decanter retains its original silver mounted cork stopper, surmounted by a charming cast silver figure of a young boy, beautifully modelled in a playful standing pose. The decanters rest upon ornate pierced silver pedestal bases, featuring an intricate combination of floral decoration, scrolling foliage and openwork lattice patterns. Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), London, year 1903/1904 (h&i), Retailer's Mark BM&CO (Barr, Moering & Co). To the lower base, also marked with German pseudo markings and "930" silver marking, Maker's Mark "W.H.S).
