An Arne sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio in 2005 for B&B Italia (Model A320CD_3, right-facing configuration), in two pieces. Boasting a striking curved, floating silhouette and a signature detached right armrest, this iconic two-piece centerpiece is perfectly scaled to anchor open architectural spaces. Deep, continuous seat cushions comfortably seat 4, with all five original matching loose back pillows included - all in great condition, with no damage and well-held shape. The two pieces are matched in size and mirror each other, a hallmark of the Arne's symmetrical design.

Materials & Construction

Frame: Tubular steel and steel-profile frame encased in a molded polyurethane body, elevated on die-cast (bright brushed) aluminum supports - the aluminum keeps the frame visually light despite the sofa's generous size.
Upholstery: Original red fabric, consistent with B&B Italia's Maxalto line. Covers are fully removable.
Seat cushions: 55% polyurethane foam, 35% waterfowl feathers, 10% polyester (per factory label).
Back cushions: 70% waterfowl feathers, 30% polyester.

Provenance
Custom-ordered by an authorized B&B Italia dealer and in the care of one private owner since 2013, in a smoke-free, pet-free home. The original B&B Italia / Maxalto label remains attached to the underside: "Arne, design Antonio Citterio, Made in Italy for U.S.A.," registry no. CA32285.

Condition
Good, with gentle, normal wear from careful private use. The frame is structurally sound, with nothing broken or missing, and the covers are in good condition. The seat cushions have softened with years of use. The frame, steel supports, and aluminum base remain fully sound. The covers are fully removable and the cushion fill can be reupholstered or refreshed independently, so both the inner and outer materials can be updated if desired.

Cosmetic notes: slight sun fading on the back side of the arm corner, and one small, barely noticeable mark on a seat cushion that can be professionally cleaned.

Dimensions

Overall: 126"W x 59.5"D x 26.75"H (320 x 151 x 68 cm), per B&B Italia's specification
Seat height: ~15" to top of cushion
Arm height: 15"
Seat interior: 52"W x 36"D (both pieces matched)

Logistics
Located in a West Village, Manhattan elevator building. Due to the size of this two-piece sectional, professional (white-glove) movers are recommended for pickup. Please inspect carefully before accepting delivery.
