Description – Hand painted with Gold Guilting detailing, 'Iris in Purple' is a Luncheon / Sandwich plate from the Blackadder Dining Collection 1968. An Ironstone ware, glazed limited edition plate produced by Masons for  the Royal Academy of Arts, unnumbered from an edition of 1500 and features a printed signature to verso. It is a collector's item, showcasing intricate craftsmanship. 

The 'Purple Iris' is copied from her concept painting ' 3 Irises' which are often characterised by, Quiet, contemplative compositions, Japanese and Eastern influences, A refined, minimalist use of line and colour.
