Description
Statement piece for your home with lovely details consisting of brass foliate inlay throughout the entire chair along with pierced detailing on seat back.
ORIGIN: Middle Eastern
CIRCA: Mid-20th Century
MAKER'S MARK: None present
CONDITION: Very good used/vintage condition. Please zoom in on photos and read detailed condition notes below.
DIMENSIONS: 24 and 5/8"wide x 23 and 1/4"deep x 42"high
arm: 24.5"wide x 19 and 3/4"deep x 29 and 5/8"high
seat: 15"wide (entire seat bottom, seat begins to slope upwards at 13"wide) x 12"deep x 19.5"high
Condition:
Alterations: Original Condition Unaltered
Imperfections: Some Imperfections
Condition Notes: The chair is heavy and sturdy with wonderful patina throughout. There is some discoloration to the wood from age or possibly just characteristic to the species of wood used. There are a few areas where the brass inlay has lifted but it is still intact (zoom in on last photos for details).
Per the seller that I purchased the chair from, the chair can be folded up. I have never folded the chair and have it stored as seen in the photos. The top crest portion of the seat back is removable by lifting upward, sliding out of the mortises at the top of the side frames. When you loosen the back brass nut, the rest of the seat back slides off. I can get the 2 back rest pieces off, however, it is giving me resistance when trying to fold so I am not going to force it.
Please note that shipping fees are determined by Chairish and their shipping partners. I am happy to work with you should you choose to arrange your own shipping.
I am happy to send more photos if needed and to answer any questions you may have prior to purchase.
