English Arts and Crafts Ladder Back Chair Rush Seat

This elegantly designed ladderback chair features a low rush seat, five gently curved back slats, and simple, undecorated stretchers and legs. The gracefully curved arms complement the distinctive square rear uprights.

Fine hardwood ladder back chairs like this one were commonly found in the provincial homes of English country gentry. This chair is ideal as an accent piece alongside a sofa or in front of a fireplace, adding warmth and character to your living space. You can style it with a throw blanket or cushion that complements your decor. Additionally, it makes a practical addition near the entrance, providing a convenient spot to set down a handbag or other items.
