Entitled "Texture 8: Waves", Caron captured the perfect geometry created by the Pacific Ocean as well as the random patterns in the sea foam bouncing the light of a late afternoon Mendocino sun. This 2015 archival photograph on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl paper is by contemporary Mendocino/Bay Area artist, Gaetan Caron (b. 1964), co-founder of our salon in San Francisco. Gaetan captures most of his images in the surroundings of his off-the-grid home/work studio located in an heirloom orchard in the Mendocino hills of Northern California, a stone's throw from the wild California Coast. His work documents the textures, colors, forms, as well as monochromatic shadows and reflections found in nature through contemporary abstract, botanical, still life, landscape, seascape and portrait Fine Art photography.
