The figure of Christ is portrayed with long, flowing hair, a finely sculpted beard, and a peaceful expression, his head gently inclined downward. His traditional robes fall in deeply carved, naturalistic folds, creating graceful movement throughout the composition. A short mantle drapes over his shoulders, secured at the chest with decorative clasps. The detailed carving of the facial features, garments, and exposed feet reflects the craftsmanship of French religious sculpture during the late 18th century.
