This painting is a vibrant, impressionistic work that captures a serene garden moment by a lily pond. The composition features a seated figure in the foreground, dressed in a pale blue and white outfit with a wide-brimmed hat accented in blue. The figure is positioned near the edge of the water, leaning slightly forward in quiet contemplation.

The pond is filled with blooming white water lilies, painted with loose, expressive brushstrokes that create a sense of movement and light on the water's surface. Shades of turquoise, aqua, and green dominate the water, contrasted with the lush greenery and bursts of pink blossoms in the background, which suggest a flowering garden in full bloom.

The overall style is reminiscent of late 19th to early 20th-century Impressionism, with its focus on light, color, and fleeting moments of leisure in nature. The brushwork is energetic and layered, giving the scene a dreamlike, almost unfinished quality that enhances its sense of spontaneity and freshness. Unsigned.
