A warm, softly painted mid-century still life: a red apple, a golden pear and apple, and clusters of purple and green grapes gathered on a white cloth, set against a glowing rose-and-peach background. The brushwork is loose and painterly, with a gentle, sunlit feel.

Signed "N. Gebert" lower left. Painted in oil on a Malfa canvas board by F. Weber Co. of Philadelphia; the maker's label on the back dates the board to roughly the 1940s-early 1960s. Set in a gilt-washed oak frame with the grain showing through, a great mid-century look on its own. Sweet in a kitchen, breakfast nook, or dining room.
