Portrait of a Lady

Original American Oil on Canvas, artist signed and dated 1961.

Large size capable of capturing an entire room at 45" wide by 33" tall by 2.5" deep with a gorgeous carved wood silver gilt wash frame.

Incredible color, leading with red and royal blue and purple, with yellow gold, pink, and plenty of blue / green.

Simple but very appealing subject with the female figure, coffee or tea and a simple floral.

Both the broad brush vision and the artist's small detailing are right with this piece - it's a beautiful work.

In keeping with Aesop's fable, Fox and Crow's Motto is "Beware of False Flattery!" So, with each listing we offer a true confession about the item...

This is just a splendid painting. the use of color, the thoughtful scene, the fabulous mid-century aesthetic...even the frame, which is exactly eh right scale, depth, detail and tint.

American, 1961, red and electric blue with a touch of green and gold...oh yeah.

Build a room - or even an entire wing - around this one.
