Pair of Antique Sheffield Plate Neoclassical Dolphin Motif Candlesticks
English, 19th Century

A pair of elegant antique Sheffield Plate neoclassical candlesticks, crafted in England during the 19th century. Standing tall at 12.5 inches with a width of 6.75 inches and a depth of 6 inches each, these candlesticks exemplify the refined craftsmanship and classical design characteristic of the era.

Made of Sheffield Plate, a layered silver-plating technique over copper, they exhibit a timeless neoclassical style with dolphin motif accents. Despite showing some gentle copper bleeding at the base, indicative of their age and authenticity, they remain structurally sound and ready for use or display for many more years.

These candlesticks are not only functional but also serve as exquisite decorative pieces, adding a touch of historical elegance to any interior. Ideal for collectors of antique silver or enthusiasts of neoclassical design, they embody the enduring charm and craftsmanship of English silverwork from the 19th century.
