Visually striking nine-volume collection of German-language literary classics published by Lingen, beautifully coordinated in olive green bindings with burgundy-red title panels and gold gilt lettering and detailing.

The set brings together works by major European literary figures, including Guy de Maupassant, Theodor Storm, August Strindberg, Victor Hugo, Heinrich von Kleist, Friedrich Schiller, Joseph von Eichendorff, Gustave Flaubert and Honore de Balzac.

The uniform bindings create an especially handsome decorative library set, with the muted olive green, burgundy and gold palette giving the books a sophisticated Old World character. The consistent scale and attractive gilt spines make the nine volumes particularly effective displayed together across a bookshelf, library table, console or study.

An appealing collection both for the German-language literary content and for use as authentic vintage library decor.
