Antique White Distressed Wooden Steamer Trunk

Description

A charming white distressed steamer trunk with riveted metal body, raised bands, and original latches. The hand-worn finish and aged hardware lend this piece a delightful rustic farmhouse aesthetic. The trunk has a pull out wooden storage tray for extra room. Perfect for use as a coffee table, blanket chest, or stylish storage piece at the foot of a bed. Light surface wear and distressing add character and authenticity.

Collector's Note: Early 20th-century steamer trunks were built for durability on long rail and ocean voyages. Painted and distressed versions like this remain popular with collectors and designers for their combination of utility and vintage character.

Staging Note: Style with a folded quilt and stacked books for a cozy cottage look, or add a metal tray with candles and greenery to use it as a rustic farmhouse coffee table.
