This 1950s ink and gouache on paper fashion illustration of a woman in a dress and coat is by fashion designer Frederick Gibson Bayh (1917-2007). Bayh frequently used silks and brocades selected from Gump's famous collection of Asian art treasures. Bayh designed with a dramatic sense of Hollywood glamour for clients such as Dinah Shore, Lily Pons, and Anne Baxter . Some of his original garments can be found in fashion museums around the world.
