Vintage Mid-Century Armillary Sphere | Metal Celestial Sculpture

Description

This vintage armillary sphere is a sculptural interpretation of a historic astronomical teaching tool. Composed of intersecting metal rings and arrowed axis mounted on a circular base. This example was produced as a decorative and educational object rather than a precision scientific instrument.

Likely dating to the mid-20th century (circa 1940s-1960s), the piece reflects the clean lines and intellectual aesthetic popular in post-war academic and modern interiors.
