Description
Length:95cm(37.40in) Width:30cm(11.81in)This complete set includes three hanging scrolls, colour on paper with original brocade mounting. The three panels depict boating on the Red Cliff, wandering among cloud-cloaked cliffs and seeking seclusion amid layered mountains. The precipices and peaks are rendered with Fu Baoshi’s signature fragmented Baoshi texture strokes, rugged and dynamic with free-flowing ink. Pines frame the foreground, while mist drifts through valleys. Figures are sketched with minimal strokes yet vivid in demeanour, embodying literati’s delight in nature. Each scroll bears Fu Baoshi’s poetic inscriptions and seals, harmonising painting and calligraphy. The three works form a cohesive suite with consistent artistic conception. Accompanied by original wooden case inscribed by Qi Gong: “Three Landscape Scrolls by Fu Baoshi”, elegantly mounted and well preserved.
