Length:48cm(18.90in) Width:29cm(11.42in)This is a fine meticulous figure painting by Hu Yefo. Under weeping willows, a lady leans on the waterside terrace beside lotus pond, holding a clapper aloft with tender expression. The work adopts Hu’s signature delicate hairline drapery lines, firm and elegant. Soft, subtle colouring brings out the lady’s exquisite features. Wispy willow branches and young lotus buds create a serene scene. Originally mounted and in good condition, representing the distinctive elegant style of Hu’s beauty paintings.
