Both sides feature relief panels depicting a scholar scene in a courtyard. A scholar sits leisurely beside a cottage, with blooming plum blossoms and perching birds. The background is covered with fine granulated pearl ground, creating strong three-dimensional effect. The whole vessel is gilded with mellow antique patina. The base bears carved four-character mark “Xuantong Nian Zhi”. With exquisite casting and relief carving, it depicts classic literati landscape, being a fine example of late Qing snuff bottles.
