Pair of French Empire Orb Bronze Three-Light Wall Sconces

France, Early 19th Century

This exquisite pair of French Empire wall sconces embodies the elegance and workmanship of the early 19th century. Featuring a striking horizontal design, each sconce is centered around a beautifully cast bronze orb, from which three gracefully scrolled candle arms extend. The warm, aged patina enhances their timeless appeal, showcasing the refined artistry of the period.

Each sconce measures 7 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 10 inches deep, with a backplate measuring 6 inches high by 3 inches wide. Though previously fitted with discreet drill holes for electrification, they currently function as candle sconces but can easily be wired to suit modern needs.

Whether left as-is for an authentic candlelit ambiance or professionally electrified, these sconces will bring a touch of historic grandeur to any space. Their classic Empire aesthetic, marked by balance and sophistication, makes them a stunning addition to any interior.
