Contemporary Modern Expressionist Oil on Canvas Portrait Painting in Blues

Description

This bold and emotionally charged abstract portrait features an expressionist face rendered in thick impasto strokes of blue, teal, and crimson. The heavily textured surface and raw brushwork evoke a sense of intensity and introspection, while the obscured eyes and stylized features suggest an inner world just beyond reach. The layered background pulses with movement and mood, drawing the viewer into the figure's ambiguous gaze. Framed in a simple metal edge frame, the piece is signed with a single initial "A" in the lower right corner and makes a powerful modern statement in any art-forward space.

Measures 14.25" wide by 18.25" tall. Signed 'A' in the front corner, 'A. Coleman' on the stretcher. Very good condition and nicely framed, with age appropriate wear.
