This original limited-edition lithograph by French modernist Paul Rebeyrolle presents a powerful abstract expressionist composition rendered in aggressive black forms, gestural linework, and bold red passages, reflecting the politically charged figurative language for which Rebeyrolle is internationally known, with this example numbered 35 of 50 and printed on fine art paper, framed in a period gilt wood frame with red and gold matting that complements the dramatic palette of the work.

Rebeyrolle's work is held in major European museum collections, and his prints are increasingly sought after by collectors of post-war and mid-century European abstraction.

This lithograph is in very good vintage condition, with age-appropriate wear throughout, with visible water staining and discoloration to the matting along the left side but the artwork itself remaining clean and unaffected, and it measures 30.75" wide and 24" tall overall, with a visible image size of 21.75" wide by 14.75" tall.
