Fuchsia and violet bleed into a starlit purple sky in this oil and acrylic canvas, where silhouetted palm fronds and spiky tropical foliage frame a narrow glimpse of turquoise sea and pale sand beyond. Da Fonseca Ilic lets the neon-adjacent color saturate every inch of the composition, so the plants read less as botanical study and more as a portal into a dreamlike, electric version of a beach at dusk.

Square in format and boldly colored, this piece is built to be a focal point, above a sofa, over a bar, or anywhere a room wants a jolt of tropical color. It reflects the artist's ongoing interest in landscapes charged with saturated, otherworldly light. This piece is unframed and will be shipped unstretched, carefully rolled in a protective tube.

Javiera da Fonseca Ilic is a Chilean painter born in Santiago in 1982, now based in Mexico. She paints landscapes that sit between memory and imagination, warm, saturated canvases filled with the energy of places half-remembered and half-dreamed. She begins with photography from her travels, bringing images into the studio and transforming them into something atmospheric and emotional. Originally from Santiago de Chile, she studied Visual Arts at Universidad de Chile and deepened her practice through mentorships with celebrated Chilean artist Eugenio Dittborn. She has presented solo exhibitions in Mexico City, Vancouver, and Zihuatanejo, with work shown at art fairs across Miami, Toronto, San Francisco, New York, and Montreal, and is held in private collections internationally. She is now based in Tulum, Mexico, where she maintains a studio.
