From the living estate of brutalist Arizona sculpture artist John Gleason, add a splash of whimsical mid-century British heritage to your table landscape or shelving display with this authentic Dartmouth Pottery "Gurgling Jug" fish pitcher. Produced in Devon, England, this iconic piece is finished in a glossy, vibrant forest green glaze, showcasing a highly detailed, stylized cod or koi motif with relief-molded scales, prominent fins, and an expressive face.

The clever design relies on its hollow, curved tail assembly to double as a sturdy handle, while the open mouth acts as a sculpted pouring spout. First introduced by Dartmouth Pottery in the mid-1950s, these collectible vessels are famous for trapping air in the tail mechanism, producing an acoustic, playful "glug glug" sound when liquid is poured out.

Whether styled on a Chinoiserie bar cart, filled with botanical stems as an eclectic vase, used for everyday entertaining, or kept as a whimsical centerpiece, this classic piece brings an effortless touch of English vintage character to modern traditional and eclectic interiors.
